A few other helpful tips
When to visit
Although this is a destination which is great year round, we recommend visiting on shoulder season so that you find fewer crowds, better pricing, and still have incredible weather to enjoy. Shoulder months in San Miguel are October/November or March/April.
How to get around
Most travelers opt to fly into either Querétaro International Airport (QRO) or Guanajuato International Airport (BJX). Both options are roughly 1.5 hours from San Miguel. Travelers coming from Mexico City can book a driver or take a first class bus through ADO, but prepare for a 4 hour drive.
Once in the city, you’ll find it extremely walkable - but bring comfy shoes! There’s a lot of hills and the streets are cobblestone which can prove challenging for some. Alternatively, it's very easy to hail a taxi or use ride share apps like Uber in San Miguel.
