The Process: Where Tradition Meets Sustainability
Each piece of hand-blown and pressed glass that leaves this workshop is a testament to heritage, skill, and the beauty of imperfection—small air bubbles, delicate ripples, and color variations that make every glass, pitcher, and vase truly one-of-a-kind.
Every piece of glassware begins as recycled glass sourced from discarded bottles and scraps. The glass is melted in high-temperature furnaces and then shaped by hand using techniques that require both precision and intuition.
The process unfolds in several steps:
✔ Hand-Gathering & Blowing – Artisans gather molten glass, shaping it into tumblers, vases, and pitchers using breath and movement.
✔ Press Molding & Detailing – Some pieces are crafted with hand-pressed techniques, where glass is carefully poured into molds to create structured, intricate designs.
✔ Cooling & Refinement – Each piece undergoes a slow cooling process in a special kiln, ensuring durability while maintaining its handmade essence.
This commitment to reusing materials and small-batch craftsmanship makes Puebla’s glassware as sustainable as it is timeless.
